I'm new to all this, so please forgive if this is a dumb question. I'm looking for PC software that will play CD+G files and also add real-time effects, such as reverb, to the mic input. Is there such a thing?

Thanks for the link... I see the players, but I don't see how they let you add mic effects.

the "whole file" zip has the winamp plugins... the visual and the "pacemaker" which controls tempo, speed up or slow down, key up or key down!

Yes, I see, thanks, but again, I'm talking about adjusting the *mic* input, not the mp3 playback.

I've not found yet a good software that would work with microphone inputs...
be smart, and use the pc for a player ONLY. NOT a professional mic mixer!!
There are some good karaoke programs out there, such as "Hoster" or Sax & Dolly's products (they're karaoke junkies that are now putting their talents to good use!)... but they all approach the situation from a player ONLY!!
Your sound card may have effects you're looking for. One sound card I had once had the ability to mess with vocals on the "mic input" for the pc, but it was cheesy at BEST!!!
