Son if you would like to share your personal address and phone number so our attorneys can share correspondence then we will continue this discussion. In the meantime DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TRY TO GIVE ME OR ANYBODY ELSE LEGAL ADVISE ON A PUBLIC FORUM. It is highly frowned upon by the Attorneys Bar.
I am tired of this crap and currently consulting my attorney about accusations concerning my business or anybody elses karaoke business on a public forum .
I disagree the purpose of a forum is to discuss opinions on karaoke. Some of the opinions may be wrong especially on legal matters. Many regulars on this forum know who is spewing air or has a reasonable well thought out opinion. They may be wrong but certainly they are a lot cheaper than $200 an hour legal advice from an atourney.
Many people on this forum have experience in dealing with matters of the law as it impacts their karaoke. The fact that they may or may not have a legal degree is not relevent to the matter. One only has to take it with a grain of salt like any other advice in the forum.
We dont necessaraly believe that Microphone brand X is great and Brand Y sucks just because one person states it to be so on the forum, but taken in the whole, a forum like this can help us for opinions on what is the consensus on such matters.
Legal advice is the same way. Many of the people on the forum know what they are talking about. At the same time, some random person with a law degree and an atourney's license may not know anywhere near as much about the law as it applies specifically to karaoke as many on this forum who lack official legal training.
Sure some of the avice may be wrong, just like advice on which microphone to buy, but that is not a reason to stop discussion.
If the world only relied on consutlation with atourneys to inform the public on legal matters the world would be a mess. Sure at some point an atourney may be the origional source of the information but repeating and disemination of that information is generally done by the public at large.
If the atourney's bar frowns on such activity, that is one of the reasons that lawyers generally are respected slightly less than used car salesmen or pond scum by the general public.
