you could use another player to play your other mp3s... seems a bit too much trouble.

I prefer the software that have dual players like hoster, clubdjpro, etc...

thank you
i see that you really need a programme that has a dual player
if you use another application for the music how would you then switch between the 2.
cheers

If you want to play your audio MP3 files for DJ type work OTS DJ is an excellent program I have been using it now for 5 years.

If you want to play them as filler with your karaoke then CompuHost is not a bad program to use as it plays your MP3's in the same program, however it does not have dual player capabilities.

literally have the two softwares up at the same time. Say winamp and pause the track...

or you could go old school and have a physical player hooked up to the mixer that your computer is hooked up to! Fade back and forth between the two.

That's how I did it for years! Computer usb'd out to an audio device that converted the audio signal to RCA and that into a mixer. 2nd player into a mixer. Out to the amp and speakers.

Agree with OTS, just an all around great dj program and NOW also have karaoke & video compatability as well.

Lonnie -

I have not upgraded to the OTSDJ/AV due to cost differential and I have everything I need in their Silver version.

Have you tried their demo program for karaoke? Just wondering how it compares to MTU and Compuhost.

Honestly I haven't tried the demo either - am happy with the Silver, although they did tell me that support is no longer available if you need to reset registries for computer transfer, you'd need to upgrade. I too don't need the video capability for what I use it for at this time plus I would need to convert my kma's to mp3 which I don't want mp3 based karaoke files which is why I went with Hoster in the first place.
But for a strictly dj program, I wouldn't use anything else!

I have run digital karaoke for over 8 years and tried them all. If you want the most efficient and one you can tailor for your own needs get RoxBox.. It runs circles around everybody else. You can actually go into the ini file change background color or font size.. With a mouse click you can sort by artist or title ascending or descending in less than a second in the search mode. It has the fastest search mode of any. With SAYT (search as you type) songs are brought up in microseconds. Singers can be cued in less than a second. All auto fades are fully adjustable timewise. At any time in player 1 or 2 the songs qued can be saved as a play list and called up on the fly. It can be tailored for your show and do what you want. With our fast paced show nothing else would work.

oh that's so crap! LOL! Ollie, love ya but couldn't disagree with you more!

Clubdjpro is EASILY the best (in my opinion), and blows Roxbox away!

In answering the real question at hand, I have played around with the demo of siglos professional and it does have filler music capabilities. You just have to look for the control of it on the interface. I am working on a new computer and don't have the demo installed so I can't walk you through it right now. Powerkaraoke comes into the forum from time to time and they have their own forum as well.
