After a Fri and Sat gig I sort of got it going. Needs some fine tuning for the best. I didnt think it would be that hard but its not easy at times.

Comments:

I put the the Lexicon 550 on the eFx send 1. It sucks. I sang a song with a dry throat and under stress without the Lexicon OMG What a difference. It is going back in series with the 266XL.

Questions:

I hard pan stage mics to the left and to sub 1.. Announce mic panned right to sub 2. Music to sub 3 & 4.. Right? The strip faders should be at unity and mic music balance set with the sub faders Right?

It is one hell of a desk.

Sounds like it was improperly adjusted or hooked up wrong possibly.
Turn the input on the Lexi up about halfway, the mix all the way to wet & the output from 3/4 to all the way up. On the channel you want the effects, turn it up about to 9-10 oclock. Turn the EFX 1 master (over the built in effects) to half (U).
For the return I run it into an individual channel rather than the EFX rtn, for greater flexibility. If you choose to use the effects return, you get less adjustments & sound quality.

Personally I would pan all mics to 1 sub only. That is the purpose of the subgroups to group mics & instruments together. So i'd put all all mics on sub 1, I run mono so I have all music on sub 3 (or you could split karaoke on sub 3 & dj on sub 4) - if you run stereo, then all music on 3 & 4. Since I also run the efx to a channel strip, I run that one to sub 2.

Do you run your stage mics hot all the time or do you run the fader down between singers?

For mics not in use I use the mute button. For the one being used it's up all the time. Never needed to turn it down.
