Hello !
I'm Cat and I am a retired professional singer performer and I do Voice/Vocal and Drama Coaching for anyone that want's that "extra" something they are looking for or need in their performances.
I was an 8 year member of Bob Hope's USO Tour Troop when I lived in Hollywood, CA.
I have 30+ years experience and all the passion in the world in all that I do.
I have been singing, performing since I was a very young child and all through my educational years from Junior High through College and then some.
I was a Singing and Acting Coach for John Casablanc's and I have been in the Community Theatre as an Actor, Dialect Coach, Producer, Director, and much more since 1975 and I continue today with the same amount of passion and excitement I had then.
In the 80's I worked for Eric Peterson -"The Singing Machine" Co in Marina DelRay CA and did all the conventions and sales and had a lot of input in the song selections and Voice Demo's when Karaoke first started becoming popular on 8 tracks ! Yes... I am older than many of you but age does not hinder your talents- if anything it flourishes more with time .
Please feel free to stop in and say hello.
I do have coaching sessions in person (depending on your location to mine) and live online if you have a Mic & Speakers for your PC . Web cams are not necessary unless you want them.
My company name is "You've Got Talent" youve_gottalent@yahoo.com
Thanks for stoppin' by!
God Bless and Good Singin'

Hi Cat from the Sunshine State.
I have been singing almost all my life and music is my very passion in life. I remember singing one night in 1979 at the Palomino Club in North Hollywood. It was a Thursday and all the talent scouts were seated in from on the stage.
I sang John Denver's "Back Home Again" and had the Palomino Riders back me up. I couldn't stay long, shucks, cause Charlie Pride came in later that night and sang two numbers.
I was in the Navy then and stationed in the shipyard in Long Beach.
My first child, a boy, was born only a few months later. I will never forget that experience. I have played trumpet and back up sang for a 8 piece group, had my own country band, and sang in church choirs, college choirs, and about every honky tonk on the East Coast (I am from N. Carolina).
Jacksonville, FL. is my home now. I am up in years also, 57, but I will never lose my passion for singing.
I appreciate all that you do for the singing industry even though my future plans are not in recording. I guess I had my chance way back then and never went in that direction. But my heart always wanted to.
I say to any one who thinks they have a God given talent like mine, to pursue it and never give up.
Your talents will be rewarded in another life time for eternity.
Sincerely,
Jasper Lee

Hi ! Thanks for such a nice letter ! (:
I just missed you T the Palamino ! I was there in the early 80's. Clint Eastwood filmed all his Every Which Way You Can Movies there for all the bar scenes ! I was the very first person EVER! to use a cassette tape- instrumental for the open mic nights on a no band set! I LOVED every single min of my singing career and I The USO was stationed in North Hollywood ! My old stompin' grounds.....
Wow so nice to talk to someone that has passion as I do.
I'm working on a Fund Raiser Talent Contest Show for Our Troops and The Wounded Worriors and Their Families Organization. Open audtions for as many as I can possibly get to try out charging a $25.00 entrant fee which will be the donation for the fund raiser. Select 25 contestants 1st cut to 15 then 2nd cut to 10 then final cut to 5 finalists to compete for prizes.
I work with SANG Base in Harrion Twp., MI and I try to do as much as I can. I wish they's open a USO at that base - they don't have one that base is one of the largest if not the largest US Base's there is.
I too had an opportunity to "recors" but I just wasn't the size at the time didn't matter I had a B;essed Talent... looks matteres more back then as they still seem to today..... I give vocal Voice and Drama lessons and Coaching when I can get the clients I can't go without music or singing. I go to a karaoke when I can but not too often anymore,,, to lonesome to go by yourself.....
Well, I hope I hear from you once in awhile nice to meet you and have a Blessed Day.

It's very nice to see someone on here that has such a qualified background. You're the kind of person who could actually do some good over in the showcase with well placed and worded critiques-should you decide to offer your expertise and time to the singers there. (rueful grin) There are a few i wish you would HELP ya know???? I'll be looking for you now that I know you're here.

No No, I suck ! but I'm not ashamed of it ! It's sort've nice when you're at a point in a new artform that there's no such thing as worst case scenerio.
When you have no listeners, you don't get spoiled or a fat head !
ADDED IN:
1:45 PM Friday-
I did a remake of GJ "He stopped living her today", and broke Singsnap As soon as a sub'd the remake, the site crashed.
