Sheesh, Morgan, that was awful. I would have tossed him the first day. I have a friend like that. I knew of a place near the Wisconsin Dells (touristy town with go-kart and water parks) which is 100 miles from where I live. It was a small "resort" called Fisherman's Luck located south of the Dells on the Wisconsin river (think Mississippi River width but without the mud). They have cheap but good steak dinners and I invited my friend and his wife and two kids to join me after we did his karaoke show. Well, his kids didn't want steak but rather would have enjoyed burgers. He got so upset and literally ordered them to eat steak just because I said we were going there because of the steaks. He was just yelling and screaming at his kids that they didn't appreciate the invite for steaks. To me it made no difference what they wanted to eat I told him and that just made him madder. I was embarrassed, his wifey was embarrassed, the kids were upset just because he can't think outside the box or appreciate that not everyone wants what he wants. Excellent KJ and DJ, but lousy anytime else. I'm pretty easy going and when invited somewhere, I try to find my own accommodations rather than impose.
