A few beer early in the night; then coke and/or water for the rest of the night.

I'm still confused about the statement that accepting an alcoholic drink might not be legal. How could that be?

In Washington, bartenders, servers, people in bands and DJs and KJs cannot imbibe.
I myself will have Diet Pepsi when I fill in for my friend's show. You definitely do not want to feed me liquor when I'm DJing. He will drink only O'Doul's which in non-alky beer and tastes like goat pee. Beer not fermented used to be called Wort.

When I drink it's Jack straight up.

I drink pepsi or coke.

I'm not a bar employee. I a sub contractor providing a service. Not ever going to stop me from drinking.

And this is the Capital City of the land of the free?
Please don't take that the wrong way, I absolutely love America, I was very nearly a resident at one time, but things like this really annoy me. Its getting rather like that here now though tbh. We're not trusted to act like intelligent adults anymore so we must all be babysat by daft rules & regulations.

I can't disagree with THAT!

I do think it sucks... musicians SHOULD be able to drink... they're ENTERTAINMENT, NOT the employees!

One more reason not to go to Washington State again... although I used to live there for a couple of years!
