hey everyone. i'm not sure if this is the right place, but here goes:

i have a laptop that i use along with a acesonic 3 mic mixer. along with mics, cables, and a few songbooks, i'm not sure how to store it for transport. my laptop bag can hold the mixer, laptop and cables, but i have to take the books and mics in a seperate bag. i've looked at bigger laptop bags, but i still think they'd be really cramped.
i was thinking about buying a hardsided suitcase, but they are either really expensive or just ugly. a toolbox was another idea, but finding one deep enough for my laptop (11 inches) has been difficult.
does anyone else have a similar setup? any suggestions on what i could use to carry it around? money is a factor here. i'd like to keep it under 75 bucks.

you would have to go to two "bags" but I have a nice case I bought at Menards in the tool box area. it is slightly bigger than a brief case and has foam in it that you can configure to whatever you want in it. I have compartments cut out for the cords , mouse, external hard drive, and an Mp3 player in the foam, then the laptop lays across all of it. the case is aluminum, shiny and looks really nice. only cost me $20. I would say its 16 or 18x 12 x 4 or 5 inches. I use plastic storage totes for books and cords ect.
