And leave my kids out of the conversation. What in hell would they have to do with it? I've raised 4, 3 more years till the last one is old enough to be considered "an adult", and they all turned out just fine. Is my daughter jaded against men? No.... she'll learn that lesson on her own, in time.
It was a joking comment made to the "women" talking in this thread Matt- leave it alone, and I really don't think lordairgtar took serious offense to it. Matter of fact, no man should take offense to it unless... of course... they are guilty of being a snake themselves.
Don't call me to task for stating a personal opinion... I have a right to speak freely like everyone else does. Funny how people think they can say whatever they want and then when something pushes a button with them, they freak out. I called you to task for an OPINION that INSULTED me.
If I'd have come across and said "most women are b*tches or Evil or something else, I daresay I'd have QUITE the earful from the posters on here, and I WOULD HAVE EARNED IT.
It's thoughtless, crass, and unbelieveably rude.
And you're right. With MY reaction to YOUR ill-spoken thoughts, it's a VERY good idea we never met.
And that's not you being a woman or whatever. I've spoken against others who make such generalizing slams before, and probably always will.
I didn't bring your kids in it perse... the truth only hurts if it IS the truth. If you brought up your kids with grace, compassion, love and honesty, you have NOTHING to fear from what I wrote. But usually, what a person says with such outright honesty, is also a part of how they treat their friends and family.
My son was VERY jaded against his mother for mistakes she made, and I was always one to cut him down a notch. "You may not approve of her choices in life, but she's STILL your mother - show her some respect." Privately I felt his comments were prety apt, but I felt he didn't EARN the right to say such things about her.

I agree with Odie , I think it was girls just bein girls and since we have never dated a guy before I think they would know better than us if we were snakes or not.

Call me anything.. Insult any thing I do .. But do not question my integrity as a man or a Gentleman. In real life or on a forum. I can walk away from this mouse and in 2 seconds forget what is going on here. But as I do I deal with real life and I challenge it as as a man and have no patience with any woman that still has a battle going with all her exes. For Gawds sake grow up. Life is life.
These things I do not joke with or tease with. I have had my problems but I blame it on my ineptitude not all females in general. I personally am tired of this man woman warfare. Let me lay you and this crap will be forgotten.

You're right, most women are bytches. I happen to be a huge bytch myself most of the time. (to my credit, usually with reason though)
Why would that comment insult you? I corrected the "all men" to "most men" before you even came wandering in here. If you want to take that to heart and get all offended because of it, well... go ahead. I told ya, I stand by my comment, most men are snakes imo.
(Ollie not included, he's not a snake... more like a bobcat... )
And yes, since you're dragging in personal issues: I had a bad marriage for years as well. My kids do not take sides, nor have they ever. It would take a pizzpoor parent to bring the kids into a personal vendetta. But since you've already painted me black, I wont try and defend myself on that issue.
Matt, had we of met while you were here, I'm sure we'd have sang a few songs- maybe had a few beers- took a few photos- then came on here and told everyone about it. (as everyone does)

thanks for being kind, and I apologize for going too severely in one direction!
Maybe I wear my heart too much on my sleeve, but I don't like Man Bashing. It's just too easy to slam men or women. I guess I don't mind bashing husbands cause Lord knows we do enough stupid sh&t to earn that! Just the other day, my new wife had to practically beat me on the head to get me to notice something!

Matt- I sure wouldn't bash you for having your OWN opinion. Hey, life's experiences are what makes each of us who we are... and by stating your opinion, you're just standing up for yourself and what you believe in. I can't expect you to agree with me on an issue like this, now can I?  And I don't.
We all have ghosts in our closets, guess I should work harder at keeping mine hidden inside, eh? Lol. I don't consider myself "jaded" though, just a hell of a lot smarter than I was in my younger days. I'm not a "man hater" either, exact opposite, I have more guy friends than girl friends.... I usually click better with men. But would I ever make the mistake of marrying one again? Hell no.
Now I'm done with this topic. Certainly didn't mean anything to you, or anyone else here, personally.
