Thanks for the help From. I have a monoprice vga converter that I purchased. I paid $38 for next day air so I could get this before xmas for my trip the day after xmas. It arrived a day late but before I left. They refunded me the entire shipping amount.

Good price, but no warranty if they go bad. Like stated, try to find cords with a lifetime warranty, when they go bad - they will eventually, maybe not so much on the speakers (they won't be tugged on as much) but the handheld will eventually, you go exchange for new ones - free! Which is why I said if you have a local GC, go there.

Actually, on the left side of the screen, it does state lifetime warranty unless I'm reading it wrong. I don't have a guitar center near me, in fact the closest music store to me is Iowa City 45 minutes away.

I stand corrected. There is actually a guitar center in Davenport about 40 minutes away. I'll see what they have and prices.

I found some cables at guitar center comparable in price but only a 1 year warranty. I called guitar center, the woman told me that even if I had one that was still within warranty, I couldn't just take it back to the store and have them replace it, it would have to be sent back to the vendor.

Well that is not the case, unless they are run completely different down there. For 10 years I have always just brought my bad cords into the store for exchange - sometimes without the receipts. Never an issue, 1 for 1.

Quote: I understand that you use power speaker; and if so why do you think you need speaker cable? ripman8 @ 10th January 2009, 11:34 am wrote: Has to be connected to the mixer.
The mixer is connected the amp that happen to be built into the speaker. And the cable used is not normally a speaker cable.
A speaker cable connect an amp to the speaker, and in the case of a power speaker it is very short connection.

Technically speaking, it isn't a speaker cord as I said in my next post after that one. Can call it a mic cord or an audio cable. Regardless, I have already bought 4 from monoprice with a lifetime warranty. Cost me about $75 including shipping for 4 35" cables.
