The way I see it if a demo can't work properly, then it isn't worth buying IMO. It may be the best program out there, but it didn't work on my machine. I am content with my current software. Does exactly what I need it to do - play karaoke music. Good point but keep in mind that a software might not work perfectly all the time, it might sometime run in conflict with you Bios, drivers... About the software you're using, it would be my first pick if only it was built on Bass But that will never happen
Oh I understand that. But if I have to go deep into BIOS or something else just to get a demo to work, i'd rather not deal with it. Simplicity is a good thing sometimes.
As far as the sound of my current software, i'm very happy with it. It's going through a very nice sound card & through a nice PA. In a side by side with that actual disc, the software actually seems to sound a little better - could be due to the sound card properties.

I loaded the demo on an older computer, and it worked, but I shut it down after a minute or so, because the program made my CPU go from 0 to 100%.... ...it only uses 20% or so on my newer computer. Several things affect what your CPU can handle, processor speed, bus, motherboard, OS, ram...I'm sure I left things out, and maybe included something that doesn't.... ...but both computers have 1G of ram, but the older one has an AMD Sempron at 1.8GHZ, OS- WinXP, and the newer one has an AMD Athlon 64 X 2 dual core at over 2GHZ, OS -WinVista(I know 1G of ram is low for Vista... )......program is definetly a bit too hungery for an older machine... ....rather than adding more ram to the older machine, not that it would even help that much, I'll just use older kj programs on it.

Yeah mine was on a AMD Athlon 2.8ghz dual core processor, 2gb ram, Vista (which is probably what killed it ).

You should have activated the "Cpu Saver" option, that's why it's there, for older machines

No I downloaded 3 times thinking the same thing. I'm on high speed broadband - not like a dial up glitch or something either. I don't know, like said, i'm not worried about it though. Gave it a shot, didn't work, not going to lose sleep trying to trouble shoot it.

also, why won't it work with your computer, Danny?
It won't even open up just gives an error message saying somthing didn't work right.

Thanks for the suggestion Micky.......I've tried checking both boxes, but I'm still at 100%.... ...might have actually been above that without saver.....it actually works well, but I don't think it's a good idea to run it too long at 100%.....I'm still just playing with it for now. I'm one of those guys that put things together without reading the instructions first....... ....then when I get in trouble, I go back and start reading them......and as always, thank you, and everyone on this site for always being so helpful.....Greg
