What was sung in your room last night?

The poll is really meaningless, it is just so the topic sticks around. I will ask a question anyway -- do you do "Dance Breaks"?

(I am not going first because I don't have my history -- 'puter is in the van.)

MickyJ aren't you going first? ;)

I think I've still got my Sat's in the player so I'll try to fire up the karaoke computer sometime today.

OK here's last Sat. Nothing special. Missing a few regulars.

Kinda slow. We were only full for about an hour between around 11 and midnight.

22 singers overall. Each round about half that except for the middle one. In the order of the evening:

Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac
Before He Cheats - Carrie Underwood
People Are Strange - Doors
Tainted Love - Soft Cell
Creep - Radiohead
Unwritten - Natasha Bedingfield
Devil Went Down To Georgia - Charlie Daniels
Play Something Country - Brooks & Dunn
You've Got Another Thing Comin' - Judas Priest (my one song of the night yea!)
Testify - Rage Against The Machine
Take A Bow - Rihanna
Everything I Do I Do It For You - Bryan Adams
Why Haven't I Heard From You - Reba
Torn - Natalie Imbruglia
Because I Get High - Afroman
Hungry Heart - Bruce Springsteen
Desperado - Eagles
Bathwater - No Doubt
Thugz Mansion - 2Pac
I Want It That Way - BSB
Hero - Mariah Carey
It's In His Kiss - Cher version
Alyssa Lies - Jason Michael Carrol
Angel - Sarah McLachlan
Spiderwebs - No Doubt
Little Bitty - Alan Jackson
Night Moves - Bob Seger
Enter Sandman - Metallica
Jack And Diane - John Mellencamp
Take A Bow - Rihanna (another singer. Very popular song to the room)
Better Class Of Losers - Randy Travis
While My Guitar Gently Weeps - Beatles
Picture To Burn - Taylor Swift
Give Me One Reason - Tracy Chapman
Who Knew - Pink
Home Sweet Home - Motley Crue
Du Hast - Rammstein
Little Red Corvette - Prince
Bobbie McGee - Janis Joplin
Without Me - Eminem
Hit Me With Your Best Shot - Pat Benetar
Are You Happy Now - Michelle Branch
Broken Promises - Element Eighty
Jeremy - Pearl Jam
Right Now - Akon
You Oughta Know - Alanis Morissette
Heart Shaped Box - Nirvana
Who's Cheating Who - Alan Jackson
Closer - NIN (been awhile for this one. Got a chance to take a short break.)
Silhouettes - Smile Empty Soul
Plush - STP
Any Way You Want It - Journey
Mr Jones - Counting Crows
White Wedding - Billy Idol
Sex And Candy - Marcy Playground
Ol' Red - Blake Shelton
Cold - Crossfade
Raspberry Beret - Prince
Thank U - Alanis Morissette
Tide Is High - Blondie
Living On A Prayer - Bon Jovi
Hemorrhage In My Hands - Fuel
House Of Pain - Faster Pussycat
Kryptonite - 3 Doors Down
Welcome To My Life - Simple Plan
My Own Prison - Creed
If It Makes You Happy - Sheryl Crow
When Doves Cry - Prince (had a run on Prince. Different singers tho)
Last Kiss - Pearl Jam version
Time Of Your Life - Green Day

Conspicuously missing from Sat were room favs Santeria, Bytch, and I Kissed A Girl. But they were all sung on Thurs. Bytch twice.

The guy that sang Time Of Your Life only sings once, and only at the end. He's still a little scared in front of the whole group. And here's this guy... over 6' tall, jet black dyed hair, lip piercings, big ol' chain hanging from his huge jeans, a "F### Off!" hoodie (spelled correctly) and he's about the most timid person you can imagine.

Nothing was sung in my room last night. I was alone. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

P.S. Had I not been alone a couple of stanzas of the "Hallelujah Chorus" might have been appropriate. Maybe.

In terms of songs sung, I would fit very well in Bill's room. It look very strange to have a young crowd with classic rock taste. But my age will deceived me and of course I will ask to to tune down the vol.......... a bit. :D

Jian, about half of those classic rock songs really were done by singers in their 20s. However, especially on Saturday nights, I get a few older singers who drop in for one or two, which accounts for the rest.
