sing one and bring one..or if they're a regular, announce between singers that if "John" wants to sings again, he's up in 2 songs and needs to put in a request now.
I always announce the next 3 singers as a heads-up so they can go to the bathroom, smoke, or give/change their song request.
understand too that Lonnie had a very expensive wireless walk out the door once.... ONCE!

I'm guessing that's a bit of how he's trained himself to watch constantly and be aware a bit more than the average Yogi!
Yeah don't remind me. Partly why I don't use wireless anymore. I also watch the crowds to see who is there. If any problems are arising so I can inform the bar if they don't see it.
