I searched for the answer in past forums to try not to waste peoples time but what company makes the best backing tracks I purchased Sound Choice cd-g's and they were good. is there something better? I am willing to pay top $$ as I don't need many songs but what is considered the best?
I really appreciate the help.
Please, be more specific
For live karaoke, recording yourself and what type of music???
SC is excellent for live karaoke but again, some brand like Chartbuster will do better on country music, Pocket Song for crooners stuff, Zoom will often offer a better recording over all compared to SC... It really depends on your own needs and personal taste
SC is often my last choice, I find their track to be VERY karaoke sounding and not very well mastered, too electronic sounding... but that's to my own taste! I'm always looking for a track that has more acoustic instruments and NOT necessarily sounding like the original, I like singing in my own style, not imitating the original
I have a feeling you might be looking for the best Elvis backing? If that's the case, you won't find in SC
Music Maestro Velvet collection was great, Legend also had some pretty good backing but, the best of all is not a cdg disk and it' from France, it's a Playback disk from

they have one that is recorded with the Jeff Klein's Band from Philadelphia, it's ALL acoustic instruments, just doesn't get any better
