I can deal with heavy. Am getting it for £90 inc tax and delivery

Pretty sweet! I've got nothing for nothing! I carry my cables and cords in Wal Mart $1 shopping bags. Laptop, hard drive, dongle, plug in laptop bag. Mixer in mixer box. Monitor-open. Speaker stands and mic stands in speaker bag. Wireless mics in their own box/case. On and on!!! 20 trips to the vehicle. I'd love to pack everything up like that. I think I just need more STUFF to have to carry!

Ok, so when my next spend comes around I have to either get something to make set up and tear down easier plus transport or,,,, a player so bruce will come to my shows. So what kind of case should I get? I have the Yamaha mg mixer, a 17" laptop, 2 wireless receivers, I guess that's it for the table set up. I did buy a couple pretty cool table mic stands at ace karaoke so the wireless mics aren't rolling around. I guess I really don't need anything all that big but if I could put all my cords and cables in the set up, that would be great!

OK, that's the flight case my GF has ordered for me. I am keen to have it all self-contained (mixer, mics, etc mounted and cabled internally) (obviously).

What do you all do about power? I would like a mounted IEC power strip, but some items have large adaptors, and so wouldn't fit/take such a connection.

Just throw a 6-way strip inside or what?

A couple years ago when my set up consisted of the usually MIXER, AMP power strip and I even had a BBE maximizer etc. I purchased a GREAT case which even had a slide out for my laptop. I sat there one weekend and racked all my gear in my living room and it looked AWESOME ..until I tried to pick it up I couldn't even get my arms around the darn thing never mind pick up the case which had to have a total weight of over 100lbs ......just be careful
Might be best to rack some things seperate.

Is your rack stuffed with no empty spaces?

By far the best solution is the rack-mount power strip or "power conditioner". I use a simple Furman M-8L:

Yeah that's what I'd like - but for example, the hard drive has a powerbrick on the plug, so wouldn't fit.

There is usually space for those types of things if they aren't too huge. Effects pieces are not deep, and the "wall wart" won't usually interfere. I use short extension cords and velcro my wall-warts on the side of the rack case.

How does this plug in to the mixer?

It's a power strip. The mixer plugs into it.

FUNNY! Did the SAME THING Jam last year! Loaded all the equipment perfectly in a new rig and couldn't pick up the dang thing but once!

Changed it back out the next day.

...still have the brand new oddysey 16ru on casters gathering dust in the closet.

Spent a few weeks trying to get that Gator tray for the top of this - turns out it's no longer available for the UK market. Bought it twice off ebay and once off a site - and each time they come back telling they have no stock and won't get any!
