I did inflatable guitars, tambourines & maracas for a while. They were good fun, but they were all either broken or gone in no time!
I had my entire PA system stolen once, that ticked me off a little more, but fortunately the theif was caught & I got it back!

Gee Bruce, first time you said something that warmed my heart. I love to do harmonica to that song.

That's her company "Monkey Business Karaoke". People give her stuffed monkeys for display.

ive had two or three books stolen, and they were the ones for my cavs so I have to have a book photo copied now if i want to use it. ive got four left, enough to do a show in a smaller venue but again, who wants to steal a book?? there are three other cavs systems with the same numbers around may be somebody wanted there own book.

Lon is correct about the monkeys. I've thought many times I should have called my karaoke business "Money Karaoke" instead. I've had hundreds of monkeys given to me over the yrs. Not only stuffed animals, but frames, hats, shirts, mugs. It's crazy.
My most valued items I put away or bring home now.
Other odd gifts - I say zebra over the mic when I go for a cigarette, so my friends know I'm taking a break during a song. I have 2 stuffed zebras that were given to me with cigarettes in their mouths.
I also have a picture frame with tiny toast in it that have words neatly printed on them. On my birthday the regulars surprised me with a party and did a walk through my life. They gave me funny gag gift items through each stage. Like when I was in highschool I played the tuba, so they gave me an ornament that was a tuba. The toast came at the end when they announced a toast for my birthday and the crowd all threw toast in the air. One of the regulars saved the toast and framed it for me.

every time I've had blow up items, they disappear... like Lonnie, I consider it a part of the business. If you use props, they'll eventually get broken or destroyed or sadly, stolen.
My favorites are the blow up microphones. I crack up every time I see some drunk walking around with that acting like Janis Joplin or Freddie Mercury!

That's funny. I'd like to have a blow up microphone. I want a blow up girlfriend too but not naked.

So buy the naked one and dress her! You can pick up some pretty decent stuff at your local thrift store!

My air guitar is an actual electric guitar with neck issues. Someone tried to make off with that.

Ya know....a few days ago I was laughing, thinking "stolen books"? C'mon!
Then...last night for the first time I had two walk away. I have no idea when/who/why.
Still baffles me. What would someone want with one of my books?
