Although I have been in the Karaoke business 20 years (Full Time) I just recently started using my laptop with Sax and Dotty's Show presenter. I installed it on two of my laptops and it works great. except I cannot get The key changer to work on one of my computers. the OS is Vista Home premium. The Winamp version is 5.552.

Sax & Dotty's support told me to uninstall all "portable plugins" which I did, also to un tick "splash screen show not connected to internet.

I have done all of the above with no success, can anyone help?

Is it the keychanger itself (Pacemaker) that is not working or is it Sax N Dotty not "communicating" with Pacemaker?
Try Pacemaker "outside of S N D, in other words click on the Pacemaker icon in the taskbar and try to change the key there...make sure "Enable Processing is ticked on (green).

Are you running more than one DSP plugin and using a DSP stacker?

try playing the file with winamp. Does pacemaker work there?

The keychanger is working. I can change the key manually. It seem that Show Presenter is not communicating with Pacemaker.

I am not using any other DSP Plugins.

Exactly the reason I automatically will not sing a song where I need a key change when I see Sax & Dottys. 9 times out of 10 there is a problem.

Try this: reinstall Pacemaker right over the top of the old install-no need to uninstall first. Test to see if it works, if it does then navigate to Program files/Winamp and locate the winamp.ini file. Right click on it and select properties then check the box that says read only and then click"Apply"

I'll give that a try. I'm off to my gig now (Without Keychanger)
