The basic problem with the war on terror is that there is not room for error.
If we could have locked up 20 people (without trial) and prevented 9/11 would you do it. I would. If the victims of 9/11 could have voted they probably would too.
Again would I lock up those same 20 people If 1 of those 20 people happens to have been innocent? Sure why not. The suffering of 1 person being in jail is far outweighted by 4000 people killed in 9/11.
In the real world we never know when we are preventing something like 9/11 if it does not happen.

Well, if they want to let them go, thats ok, give them a trial, and if found to be the bad guys', hang them, if there not, send them back to there country, but do not send them here !!!!!!
because if they were not bad people then, they will be now !!!! I dont beleave in that place ether, but dont send them to Texas, ........ or send them to Obama's house ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

It bothers me some of them have been held so long without a fair trial. I'd hate to think innocent people are being held, but on the other hand I read about where some that have been set free should have been held.
I don't understand what is so bad about sending them here to be jailed. I can't imagine life in prison here would be a cake walk for them. They'd probably be seen as being worse than child offenders. They'd beg to go back to Guantanamo if they survive.

It's a national security risk to keep it open. That prison is recruiting more enemy than it's holding.
Put the prisoners somewhere else. There are parts of the county that have volunteered to take the ones who need to be held indefinitely because of the employment opportunities a stateside facility would provide.
