"I shot a Man in Reno, Just to Watch him DIE"

Who sung that 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg? He must've been a gangsta he was dressed all in black.

I wonder what was on Osama Bin Laden's IPOD on Sept 10???

"Copulatin' Blues" and other similar sexually explicit songs were published and
recorded on 78 rpm records in the early 1930's, but that doesn't mean that it's
acceptible to play them in any public venue. As a KJ/DJ you have the ethical
duty to entertain your customers without offending them.

Often, it's a slippery slope when you have a minority of customers wanting to sing
questionable songs. In my experience, the only singers who pick songs with dirty
lyrics isn't because they want to demonstrate their singing talent, but to use an audio
system to amplify their desire to shock the audience and playing the song validates
their mission.

Venue owners need to make the decision whether they want a sparse group of 5 or
6 potty-mouths singing dirty songs all night long or a crowded house of customers
who don't want to hear/sing songs with offensive lyrics.

What difference is it if the song loaded with profanities is a "funny" song or a serious song? How do you think the funny one is more crowd acceptable? Because it suposed to be funny. It still contains the same objectionable words. Pretzel Logic.

Angel you don't need to rehash your opinion. We all understand where you stand on this. Please just agree to disagree and let others post their opinions without a demeaning comment.

I have a very simple philosophy regarding adult language in karaoke. "When in doubt, leave it out!" This has served me well over the years, and has never had any negative effects in any way.

Yeah. Just like sexual harrassment, if you aren't sure, don't say it!
