Can anyone help me. I have a laptop, with vista. I plug in to the voco pro from my laptop. The EasySuite opens but I can't get the karaoke file to play on the TV screen. I havemy pc also hooked up an eternal monitor by way of vga. It will show up on the portable monitor.
I want to run a karaoke show , with a portable monitor , plus plug into the clubs tv screen, so that the patrons can see the lyrics also. Can't figure out how to do this. I really want to use my karaoke pro software to run this show out of my laptop. It's a really cool setup if I can do this. It doesn't come with directions to run this kind of show. Need help

What is "the vocopro?" Is it a powered mixer? Could you list the model number??
You should just need a 1/8" to dual RCA cable. The 1/8" end would go into the HEADPHONES jack on your laptop, and the red and white RCA end would go into the AUDIO IN line-level input on the vocopro powered mixer.
Are the lyrics showing up on your computer screen? You have to be able to use the dual screen feature in windows to get the lyrics on an external screen. You can get to that feature in windows by RIGHT CLICKING on the desktop, selecting PROPERTIES, then the SETTINGS tab. You would then select the button that says something like "EXTEND MY DESKTOP TO ANOTHER SCREEN." Once you do that, if the lyrics are not appearing on your 2nd screen, you'll need to drag the lyrics display on your laptop screen TO THE RIGHT and it will appear on the secondary screen (and resize to preference).
Does that help? If you say what kind of unit the vocopro is, I can give you more help.

As stated above, the model vocopro you are using would be helpful.
What Type(s) of video output do you have on your laptop? If you have VGA and S-Video, I would, and do use the S-Video output. Radio Shack sells a S-Video to RCA converter for $25. The RCA video cables are much cheaper than a VGA cable. I use a 50' and two 25' RCA cables on my Tuesday gig. All TV's have a RCA video in. The RCA cable is probably what your VocoPro uses.

Forget the part about going from S-Video. I just bought my new laptop, and it is VGA out. Since I just completed digitizing, I have been running off of my PC. I Will be getting the VGA to RCA converter.

A vocopro is the name of a professional karaoke player. THis is an all in one unit, combination wireless micraphne, karaoke player, pa mixing board. Yes I can get the lyrics to show up on the external monitor and the pc monitor. I just need it to show up on the other big tv also, that only has rca.
I called the manufactor , he said that the usb port on the karaoke board is only for thumbnail drive ( i don't know what that is ) and it will show up on the tv screen what is in the thumbnail. But I don't want everyone to see scrolling for a song. I want to run the show with my laptop.
I think I found a solution. I have to get a VGA to RCA converter box, Then get a 4 way distribution amplifier to send signal out to multiple tv's. That way I can run the show from my pc. But I wish I knew what VGA to RCA converter box to get. Everytime I find one on the net, I read the feed backs, and they say they don't work. AAAAAAgggggghhhhh. The unit I am looking at is $109.99. Here's the site for it. http://www.smarthome.com/7743C/VGA-to-T ... 000/p.aspx or go to SMARTHOME, type in VGA to RCA, scroll down to.. {VGA to TV converter w/component Video. )

Yeah, my lap top only has VGA out and HDMI out, for video. The problem is getting the right VGway Composite DistributionA converter. I don't know which one to buy, that works the best. I was told that the cheap one at radio shack won't work. I would love to not have to spend $100 bucks on one. I'm on a tight budget.
As I said in my other reply. I will have to get a RCA 4- distribution amplifier so I can run muliple tv's. But the only one I can find says its's A
4-way Composite distribution amplifier. Will this work ?
Here's the site fore it.

This is also at " SMARTHOME " this sells for $47.

I forgot to mention, the model I have is the PA-MAN all in one unit. I needed some lightweight. I don't like the vocal effects on it though. I would rather use my Mackie 6 chanell board. But I heard you can't plug one amp into another. It would be great if I could do this. My mackie has a great sound. I love the mic's on the Pa_man. I guess I can't have the best of both. I tried plugging in another effects unit into the Pa-man, but it only works on one mic. It won't work on all 4 at the same time. bummer.
I only bought it because I wanted the wireless mic's and the player for a back up player, in case my pc would fail. Wish it had better effects, Just like a nice hall sound. Don't like echo, sounds tooo phony, And I was thinking when I saw that it had a USB port, that I could run it with my pc. Oh well.

A model would be more helpful. VocoPro makes MANY different products that are similar. Just stating this does nothing to work with.
If you have a Mackie mixer you shouldn't need the VocoPro at all. Hook the mics & laptop into the Mackie, then hook the TV to the laptop for the lyrics. You maybe able to use the VP as the rest of the PA if you don't have a regular PA system, but sounds like you are overcomplicating the setup.

I have stated that I have a PA -MAN . I didn't want to use my mackie board. the plug needs repair. I wanted an a back up player incase my pc corrupts. And I liked Pa-Man because it is an all in one unit. Less stuff to carry, I am a retired entertainer, because of an auto accident. I am disabled . And need to go light.
Like there mic set up. Therre mic system is built in. Making my life more simple. I was just hoping for a simple plug set up to give me what i want,
Having the pa-man two speakers and laptop, was a simple way to go, so I thought
Anywayyyyyyyyyyyyy
Thanks everyone. I posted up above , found my solution. Thanks to the person who gave me the link on the VGA to RCA, I'm gettin that, plus the other thing I talked about, for 4-way rca distribution,

Good luck. The converter works for me.
Let us know how your sound turns out using vocopro stuff. It just doesn't do it around my neck of the neighborhood.
Lightweight is one thing but when it affects the sound greatly, there are ways of getting around carrying components.
I'm guessing if you tried both the mackie and the vocopro at your venue, the mackie is going to bring better sound for the customers.
