Well, for December in NY, I am hosting a show on Tuesday 12/08 and 12/22. It's a small dive bar, but the people are friendly. If you're not interested, I could show you a place or two in my area on other nights.

Now now Kurt - there is at least one other great show in Washington...geesh, just because you haven't seen me in action yet! I'd think you'd find a lot of similarities in our hosting styles.... Hope you can get up here soon!

You can get a little bit of a listing at floridakaraoke.com. He's changed it to a map format, and a lot of the statewide info is outdated, but it is still relevant in Dade and Broward counties. Here are some shows I have gone to:
-- There is a nice little show at the Sunset Tavern on Tuesdays at 9:30, South Miami near the university. College bar with some townies.
-- Over in Miami Springs, north of the airport, you can go to the Hurricane Bar and enjoy some pretty decent food and karaoke from 8:30-12:30 on Wednesdays. Family sort of atmosphere.
-- Down in Homestead, there is a Wed and Thur show from 7-midnight at the Wharf Lounge. Good food, restaurant / club atmosphere.
-- On Tuesday and Thursday, they have karaoke at Se7as, on Red Road. Starts about 9:30 or so. Dive bar with a diverse and fun crowd.
-- Farther north, Chauncey's Pub in Pembroke Pines has karaoke 7 days a week. There is a nice show also at Gaby's in Pembroke Pines, Sunday Night.

Tommy Sax runs off of a PC, AND he DOES accept personal CDGs. The only gripe I have with his shows are that the Manhattan gigs tend to be in over-priced bars (some of which don't even give a Buy-Back (that's a NY thing)).

Kurt, you keep calling it a "high speed run" and I'm not going a daym place with ya! Unless, of course, I drive.
Karen, I'm planning to see you all in January. Kurt will be tagging along, depending on how well he behaves between now and then. December, for me, is full of family and friend christmas parties.. and shopping.. and making things.. and all that ho-ho-ho stuff.
Vic- You left us westerners off your "list of important places to visit"... and you're going to sincerely regret that... ... but, here in a couple weeks I'll be much more knowlegable about Las Vegas karaoke, so I'll share my findings with ya.

Excellent! I look forward to your visit. Yah, about missing the west coast - mmmhhh, isn't that where all the cool people live? Besides Starbucks, Microsoft and Boeing....

Vick, if you are in San Francisco, give me a call. I would be happy to show you around. I live about 45 miles south of San Francisco but I frequent there often and I know a few good spots in the city. Let me know.
