I just checked my Fasttracks database (just updated yesterday), and did not find it there. I don't think it has been released in Karaoke yet, or unfortunately with all of the turmoil in the industry, ever will be :( .

Good luck,
tbreen

Get the song on a CD and try a vocal remove program to get you what you want.

Get the original, and play it through any decent karaoke mixer with VCM mode. Done.

Of course the lyrics won't appear, but I'm sure the cast has access to them. Go old school and print them out....

That is what I would do - burn it to CD without the lead. (I have a Tascam burner in my rack so that's a quick task.) Actually the Mackie board I use has a vocal remover built in I believe.

Only would work completely dependant on the way it wa originally recorded. Vocal eliminators aren't worth much IMO. I haven't seen many songs that I would deem as acceptable. Some are barely passable.

I think in this situation a vocal remover is better than nothing - no, they don't work sometimes - depends on how the recording was done, but it doesn't sound like this is anything top-level professional.

Thank you ALL for the suggestions! I guess i'm left to TRY the vocal eliminator on my mackie board and see what happens, although this a club-type of song and may sound funny in the end.

Worst case scenario...they sing "Cold Hearted Snake" to her, lol! THANKS AGAIN!

Depending on their connecitons with the recording studio they might be able to get their hands on the unmixed tracks. Then they can put all but the tracks except vocal into a recording.

This should work far better than vocal removal, and for me based on about 200 attempts only about 25% of the time does vocal removal work pretty well.

I checked my list of backing track companies in the UK (about 12 of the largest ones) and none of them appeared to have this song. They do make backing tracks on commision but it is moderately expensive, a couple hundred dollars.

Karaoke version has it in the suggested songs area. If enough go over to the site and vote for it it will get made.

There are a number of companies around that make custom tracks. Here's links to two of them

Does anyone know where I can find more songs by Asia and ELP (Emerson, Lake and Palmer)? One person asked me for "Jerusalem" (ELP) and "Still, You Turn Me On"(ELP), and another just asked me for more Asia (all I have is "Don't Cry" and "Heat of the Moment").
