How do you guys feel about the built in compressors on the Yamaha mixers? Specificly the EMX-5014C ?

Agreed, I'd spend the $100 and buy a used Behringer MDX4400 (or similar) rather than use the onboard stuff on those consoles. Again though, if it's all you've got, still better than no compression at all.

IMO they are no match for even a dirt cheap outboard unit, like the Behringer.
