Does anyone know how to open these up so I can get at the battery contacts from the other side? They're bent in and I want to fix it. I used to use a tool similar to a dental pick to pull them up in the past, but now it's just too far in to pull up and besides, I really want to fix it in a more permanent way. Just don't want to destroy it in the process, either. Very poor design as far this problem goes. Shame on Peavey! The guy that designed it deserves to be in the same place as the guy who invented wallpaper! LOL

Ok, now I feel terribly stupid. :( I've trying to figure out how to open this mic up without breaking it for MONTHS!
In a moment of sheer frustration after I posted this thread, I pulled HARD on the bottom (where the battery sits) and I heard a small snap. I looked over the mic, and right where the On Off switch is, there was a cover that popped off allowing me to remove the switch itself, which was what was holding it back all along. All I needed to do was pry off the little cover! DOH! The good thing is, now that I know how to pry off the switch cover and open the mic right up, I can fix the other three we have gathering dust in the back of the store and put them back to work for rentals!
Hope my little "blonde" moment helps someone else in the future.
