I need to convert my pioneer karaoke laser disks to vcd or dvd. what is the best way to do it,and what software/hardwear will I need .

for the record, I use a Pinnacle product... it's a pure RCA connection that converts the signal to the computer with a USB connection. It works great.

The only drawback is the finished videos are huge! If you convert those to VCD, you'll only get six or so on one VCD. DVD would be better, but I have ZERO Idea how many you'd get on one. Maybe as many as the old Pioneer DVDs had... about 12-15. A few of the others had 25 or even 50, but I think the signal degridation would suffer for a home user trying to go that route.

And this device isn't cheap either!!
