Any ill feelings after a contest are ALWAYS bad for the venue. What difference does it make whether the bad feelings are directed toward the venue owner, the judges, or the kj. The customers are STILL pi$$ed off. So they may stop coming because they're pi$$ed at the owner, OR the judging, OR the kj, OR the fact that they were eliminated early on, and now can't sing until the contest is over. I've NEVER seen a kj get MORE business from a contest, ALWAYS less. LESS business means less revenue, means you might be shooting yourself in the foot. I STILL VOTE NO.

To me it's thinking about what the regulars wants and needs are. They are my bread and butter and my friends, not the contest hoppers. If I want to bring in new people there are other ways of doing that with out upsetting the apple cart (or pickle jar LOL).
