We are using "Show Presenter" program, with the win-amp and CDG plug. The TV Monitor we have hooked to our laptop. We have it set to show the laptop on display 1 one and Karaoke on display 2. The TV Monitor shows the background of our laptop and it comes up automatically when we turn everything on. But the little screen with the lyrics comes up on the laptop. We drag it to the TV and enlarge it and it works fine until we close the program out. Then when we restart it we have to drag and enlarge again. The older system we have is using the same setup, but someone else programmed it for us and we don't know what we need to do to get the lyrics to stay on the TV like it does with our older system. The guy who set up the first one for us is out of town for the next few weeks and we need this done like yesterday! Any help you can give us will be greatly appreciated.

In Winamp go to "options" then select "preferences" and then go down on the lefthand side and select "General Purpose"
On the right side you will see a list of plugins...look for the one called "MP3+G Plug-In Ver ###"
Highlite it and then at the bottom select "Configure seleted plugin"

Change the full screen monitor to display 2 then select apply and then select ok
Close out of the options window as well and then close Showpresenter (which will also close Winamp)
Reopen Show Presenter and you should be all set.

once you get hoster/winmap up and running and you have the lyrics screen where you want it, go to the WINAMP PLUGINS folder (usualy at C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins)

Then RIGHT CLICK on the gen_cdg.ini file and mark it as READ ONLY

Make sure the second monitor is on and connected before loading winamp. If winamp loads with only 1 monitor it will revert back to DISPLAY1.

I like the read only idea! That sounds like it should work too!

Well I tried what all of you suggested, and neither worked. RLC I stated before that I already had my background from the laptop on the TV Monitor. And it is set on display "2". When I go in to do the one you suggested I tel it to apply the plug to "Display 2" and when I close it out and then go back in, the settings are back on "Display 1".. Should I take the laptop background back off and set the plug us first, and then put the background back up? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

No.

My previous post should work just fine.

twansenne's post does exactly as my post does, just from a different "angle" if you will.

classickaraoke's post is also valid and both twansenne and I should have included that info in our posts to make them complete  sorry!

....none the less here is complete instructions:
Turn on laptop and make sure your desktop is extended (by turning on second monitor) before starting Show Presenter(&Winamp) (just as classickaraoke posted) then either use my instructions above or use twassenne's instructions above (both will do the same thing)
Each time you are to start things up you must have your second monitor hooked up and make sure your desktop is extended prior to starting Show Presenter(&Winamp)

This should get you up and running.

When taking twansenne's suggestion also make sure that you have paused the song so that the video is still on the screen or you will lock the graphics screen in the 1x on desktop 1.

Still didn't work and the guy that set up the laptop is back in town and he says what you all suggested is exactly how he did the first one. But it's not taking hold. May be a problem with the different TV I dunno, anyway it just takes a few to drag and re-size lyrics screen so I guess we're just stuck with doing that. Thanks for all the help, you guys are great!!
