I have powered RCF speakers and sub and use an zed14fx (allen and heath) for mixing. Whats the best way to hook up the sub to get maximum sound? Thanks!!

Well you failed to include the most important information here so I'm going to make some assumptions. I'm going to assume that your subwoofer has dual XLR inputs and outputs and that your powered tops have XLR inputs as well.

Run XLR's from the XLR main outs on the ZED 14FX to the two Balanced Inputs on your sub. Then run XLR's from the two X-Over Outputs on your sub to each of the top end cabinets. Done. Finite. C'est Fini. Rock and Roll Time.

What is the model of the sub in question and the RCF cabs for that matter. Without knowing if the sub has a crossover or not - some do, some don't - will matter.

Follow Tony's instructions. On the back of the sub is a crossover switch, you'll probably end up setting it at 120, but try the 80 & 100 hz settings and take a listen to each, speak/sing through them, play music with some good low tones (bass/kick drum). Do all these tests with a flat eq (hi/mid/low on channel strips set at 12 oclock) to start with.
