With the word of them coming out with a new album I wonder if any of it will make it to Karaoke?? and how much of there old stuff is still being done??

Has been since April but had "Bring Me To LIfe" done. It was actually done well by people who could sing.

I don't have a whole lot done these days. Occasionally Call Me When You're Sober, Bring Me To Life, Tourniquet & the full band version of My Immortal. We'll see what happens if anything new comes out.

Almost every night, someone asks for "My Immortal." When groups come in and choose an Evanescence song, it's usually "Bring Me to Life", and there's 5 of them singing.

Never had a group do it, on the occasion it is done the singer prefers the solo version (background already recorded in) over the duet version. My Immortal used to be done very regularly - the full band version dominating, but hasn't been done in a few months now.

The other big question is: who will Amy Lee fire from the band after the new album comes out? (I love their music, but that does seem to happen every time they come out with something new, doesn't it...)

*gasp* Oh, no, am I getting off-topic again? Heaven forbid. My bad.

I've sung "My Immortal" (which makes me tear up almost every time I hear it or sing it), and I've heard people sing "Bring Me to Life" and "Lithium" and I think maybe a few others also. The last time I heard "Bring Me to Life", there was 1 girl singing and the kj did the guy's part. I remember there was also another song--not an Evanescence song, but Amy Lee and someone else singing--and I remember hearing that for karaoke also.

That is a band I can not stand.

Think it's been way too long between albums for them. Depends on sound and marketing.

Amy Lee is no longer with Evanescence. Carly Smithson (from American Idol) is now singing with the band under the new name of The Fallen.

Amy Lee still IS Evanescence.

Three former member of Evanescence are now part of WE ARE THE FALLEN with Smithson and another person.


One left Evanescence in 2003 the other two left in 07(one was fired by Lee), so this is not exactly breaking news.
