No speakers, just my son and I having some fun, each with microphone and headphones, and likely using UltraStarDeluxe (Karaoke singing game) on our PC. We each have headphones we like, and I am thinking of decent cheap microphones like Behringer XM8500, but other than a list of maybes not sure of what we should be using to get the XLR mic signal to the PC and the music and voice back to our headphones.

I've heard about latency, and the need for ASIO drivers, and we are using the notorious Win7 64 on a 760G motherboard with Realtek ALC662 sound chips (running the Dolby Digital Live spdif output mode). USB preferred, but I do have an older system with 1394 that could be pressed into use.

Any suggestions or warnings on input box?

I'm watching a few used units on ebay;

Lexicon Lambda
Tascam US122
Maudio fast track

Thanks
