I carry my cables in a large suitcase thing that has wheels and a collapsible handle. Picked it up from the Salvation Army thrift store for $1.

Inside I keep my 2 - 60' speaker cables, my 2 - 25' mic cables, my 6' booth mic cable, the microphones, and some other assorted odds and ends cables.

My main rig is built into a custom rack, so I walk in, plug my speakers, mics, monitor, and laptop into the rack, and away I go.

I don't know how many "miles" of cable I have, but I have 2 larger duffel bags with most of my cords in it. A lot of my stuff is already hooked up into the 16 space rack already, but those are the smaller cords of course. Most of what I have is in those two bags. (4) 50 foot speakon cables, (4) 25 foot speakon cables, (4) 25 foot 1/4"/speakon cables, extension cords, mic cables, etc etc etc. The total weight of the 2 bags is around a hundred pounds! And I'm looking to get more cables!!! DOH, what the heck am I thinking??? hehe I'm going to add (4) 100 foot speakon cables, (2) more 50 foot speakon cables, and more extension cords. I'm gonna need a wheel barrow to card this stuff around soon!!

Wireless would be so awesome!

I have extras for everything but what has worked for me every time so far.

Mains 25 ft mic cords x 2
Sub 20 foot xlr 1/4
Wired mic 25 ft mic cord
Wireless mics 03 ft mic cord x 2
Lyrics monitor 15 ft vga
lyrics monitor splitter 1 ft
Stage monitor 20 ft xlr 1/4
Assorted power cords 125 ft

I keep all of it in the top tray of my large gator bag. My 2 lyrics monitors, keyboard table, table top, table skirting, tape, batteries, velcro ties, 3/2 adaptors, flashlight, tamborine, mics, surge protectors, painters tape and small carpets are all in this bag. GREAT bag that has wheels, and slides on one side so I can slide it into my trailer easily. Only problem, the handle has broken 3 times. They said they would replace the bag this time so I need to get it back to them.

I think it's even more. Your snakes alone are more than a mile, if you count each channel. I get 8,340 feet.

Well, that would be just silly.

I don't think so -- it's wire, just all bundled up together. 8-)

I figured I'd answer the OP's question with a listing of the cables I typically carry:
* audio snakes: 32 channel 150 foot; 8 channel 50 foot; 8 channel 30 foot
* mic cables: 12x50 foot; 20x20 foot; 10x10 foot
* speaker cables: 8x25 foot; 6x50 foot; 2x50 foot NL4 to 1/4"
* power cables: 1x100 foot 10/3; 6x50 foot 12/3; 5 8-20 foot 12/3 quad boxes
I added this up and got around 2600 feet. I guess I carry half a mile of cables!

This sounds like a small Sound-Provider setup, not a karaoke rig.

I have a band, a rehearsal/recording studio, and karaoke, completely independent rigs for each (although the karaoke is now part of our live-band thing we offer on breaks) and I don‘t even care to think how much cabling I have, haha. I know you’ve got me beat on snakes; I only have one 16/4 50-foot snake, but I might need longer in the future.

Anyways, when I was doing just karaoke, I bought a bunch of these little toolboxes that looked to me like CD cases, and kept speaker cables in one, mic cables in another, tools in another, electrical chords in another, etc… it made it easy to pack into little spaces in the car, and doing it myself, I didn’t want anything heavy.

Now have a 6x10 enclosed trailer and plenty of others to load in/out, so I don’t have to worry about space or weight, but they’re still being used.
