Jerry isn't demented, he's English. Don't know what Alan's excuse is.
By the way, they sell those "shock microphones" at various novelty stores.....
Usally I just show people the dry erase board with the list of where their name is and point to the others ahead of them and say, "Are you kidding? I'd be shot!" The only one who ever argued said, "You don't understand. You need to get your BEST singers up first so they can do their song and go home." I said, "We are."

Or you tell them they have to buy EVERYBODY in bar (including staff. they can have theirs after the bar closes) the drink of their choce (and of course announce the most expensive ones like $25.00 glasses of champange, $50.00 glass of brandy, etc.

Point to me in the book where it says "you are allowed to be rude and butt in front of everybody in front of you" and you can be next, otherwise be a good little singer and wait your turn just like everyone else that is special is doing.
Now I have only used that AFTER they ask more than once or don't take no for an answer. So far, it's worked.
