Check out Les Consonnes, in the Singer's Showcase. I have had lots of comments about this song...some people love it, some hate it. If you don't understand the lyrics, that's fine. I paid a buttload for the backing track, so you can always comment on that. If you do, it tells a story that is clever and amusing.
My English translation of the lyrics, which probably wouldn't fit in the song description is :

To say my consonants (use proper grammar) in grade school,
I have to quit speaking slang.

The teacher calls on me to get up and say a proper sentence, and
um...major frustration!

What's your problem teacher? Are you afraid you'll bring me up to your
level? Afraid that I'll bring you down to my level? Or maybe you're just
afraid of a young girl from the poor side of town...is that why you keep riding
my a$$?
In this analogy, she is saying that she cannot do something "properly"
because she thinks that there is something wrong with her.

This is about Catherine Ringer, who was actually a porn star before
she hooked up with dancer Marcia Moretto, and Fred Chichin, and formed the famous band, Les Rita Mitsouko.
So she becomes a rock star, and her audience doesn't want to hear
proper French, and it turns out that all of her frustration in school was
for nothing, so the last verse is an "in your face" to her teacher.
