I use http://www.karaoke-version.com/ for instrument tracks. Are there other sources of MP3 files without the vocals?

Try Amazon (dot) com. I've found some really rare gems there. Search in "MP3 Downloads" for the band, artist, or song... and type "instrumental" or "karaoke." And they're only a buck!

Instead of using mp3's anymore I have started using "U-sing" on Wii. It's getting the backing music to heaps of popular songs and helps you hit the right notes. It's really good for practice! Check out the facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/U-Sing-Au ... 119?ref=ts
