I have been using the s video on my laptop and going to the tv with a scart socket.

If i get a new laptop without s video,will a converter still work with composite and then
to a scart, thus saving me buying another lead. Or do i have to go vg.Thanks.

Didn't fully understand what you want.
You can convert from vga to scart.
