Besides me??

Merry Christmas to everyone. I am working tonight from 8pm to around midnight at a sports bar right here in town. We usually do karaoke every Friday there but decided Christmas might be a better time. We're gonna do a little gift exchange, etc with all the regulars and sing a few songs together. I'm actually kinda looking forward to it. Go figure:)

Anybody else workin' today?

Our Saturday venue has traditionally stayed open on Christmas for those who have no where else to go so we will be there--but we are starting and finishing earlier. In past years the owner would provide free dinner but since the smoking laws took effect a few years ago and he chose smoke over food, it isn't allowed any more. So I won't mention the turkey........

Some of the people have bought a lot of token type gifts and we will have drawings for them all night. Things are a bit tight for everyone this year so no one is travelling and we aren't have any visitors or do any visiting. So, like you, we are strangely looking forward to this as being our celebration.

I'm working tonight, too... It usually is a good turn out on the night of Christmas day. Everybody is done with Christmas and needs a few drinks and sing some songs.

I played Christmas Eve to a full house, 10 till 2.

It was the first time i'd ever done Christmas Eve, and was pretty surprised by the turn out.

We were wall to wall in South Florida last night. Great crowd in a great mood and very lively and fun.

We had a nice crowd Friday and a really good crowd Saturday.
