Hi. I have been using winamp for a long while now, and i have all my songs on an external hard drive. The other day when i pluged my hard drive in, i could see the songs all loading on, but when i came to double click any off my songs it just said stopped. None of them would play.

So in the end i had to reinstall all of them of my hard drive, i came back today to play them and i have had to reload them all again.I updated my winamp a couple of months ago so i dont think it was that, i needed to update winamp.

When i have loaded my songs you always have to save it so that wasn,t the problem.

Had that problem ones for my DJ songs. When I first loaded them in to the winamp library, the external hard drive showed up as drive D: One day I was messing around had a thumb drive and external drive hooked up, which changed the external drive the drive letter E: Wimap still loaded but when I tried to play a song it qued it into winamp's play list, but when I click PLAY nothing happened.

So change the external drive back to drive letter D: and all was fine.

twansenne is correct, it has to do with the drive letter asigned to your external hard drive, you have to make sure it is the same each time you plug it in.
here is a link that may be of help --> http://tinyurl.com/26dmnmn
