Looking at a gateway at Best Buy Intel Core i3 Processor, 15.6 screen, 4GB Memory 500 GB Hard Drive with Win7. Would this be OK? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This will be strictly for home use and parties. Tired of pulling out the CD's. Thank you. Sparky

That computer sounds fine for karaoke but what do you mean about wanting to go wireless?

I think he means digital. I also agree that the laptop should be able to run most hosting softwares. This needs to be moved into the tech area.
That said for hosting programs I suggest trying all the demos to figure out what features you want with your program. I'll let others try and tell you which ones they think you should try.
I'm partial to CompuHost and JustKaraoke.
