So the present benefits to a KJ with CH & an extensive library will come in the form of monthly updates (since the KJ's library probably has a very large percentage of what's available), transferring the data from the KJ Media Pro HD to another storage device (probably where your library is now), Only purchasing needed songs, using the KJ Media Pro HD to upload new lisings & then transferring to the library, Did I miss anything?
So do others consider the approx. present 11,000 song library & Chartbuster monthly's to be top notch in quality & enough choices?
Obviously once other manus buy into CH idea it will allow you to get your songs from a preferred source.
Past the cost of the hard drive at $1.50 a song probably not a bad deal.

I'm curious.
Does the serial number show up if you move the song to a different computer?

The serial # is embedded into the song swipe permanently so if you move it or cmake copies it will always show up. Designed as a piracy deterant so if it shows up on differant systems the song can be traced back to the original owner.

I have another question on the subject as well.

What is the ratio of songs that are on the HD unit versus the songs that are on all of the 450 sets? Is it worth it to me to add this drive?

It contains all the songs licensed on the essentials 1-10. It also more than just the essentials too. Note: some songs have been replaced on the essentials over the years since there have been changes in licensing. The song "Stay" by Sugarland was at one available on an essential and monthly hits but has since been pulled and the disk was reissued with a replacement song.

I was almost positive you had an inside source at CB you could get that info from?

Anyway... after a little googling I come up with the following:

The 450 sets have 450 songs per set. To my knowledge there are only 10 of those, so that's 4,500 songs. The HD currently has 11,547 tracks so that's 7047 tracks that aren't on the Essentials (1-10).

Not to mention all their new monthly content will be available for download to the HD as it comes out as well. So if its worth it I guess would depend on your own current and future needs.

I really didn't want to bother Debi with the question in that I wasn't sure that I wanted to purchase it. I actually have 10 of the E450 sets and another 10 or 12 of the EP 100 song sets. Still way shy of 11,000 and a possiblity for future expansion.

Thunder, I am using it and before i purchased it I had well over 9,000 CB content and have since buying it have purchased 50+ from the HD as fill ins and request. I love it! Just do it!

This will be my next purchase as I was about to buy the CB June release, now I don't have to. Has anyone added the whole CB database to their songbook? If you keep your credits stocked, you feasibly HAVE all those songs anyway....right? (nope).

Yes, you can list all of the songs in your book (you can export the list as csv from within the KJMP management console).

I am working on it now. Thinking about possibly using a old laptop to be used as a kiosk (just to check the database for their song) (but they would still have to come to me in person to sign up)

Thinking about it myself. You would have to have Fast Tracks and it's viewer. You put the viewer on the old laptop with a copy of the media pro songlist and your stuff as well. Won't work with Compuhost's kiosk software.

Just want a way the the singers can view my ever changing available song list. A a viewer only is what I am looking for. I do currently use Fasttracks and would probably use it for this as well.
