I have been dj-ing karaoke for years using cdg's. I have been looking into trying a new format. I'm not sure what would be the best format to use. Let me start by saying that I don't own a laptop, and I dont see it in the stars real soon.

Not really any other format that is going to have the choices than cdg if you do not have a computer.

You could hand write the lyrics on a sheet of paper, and play the cd without the graphics (just don't draw in any logos).
What's the problem with the way you have been doing things that makes you want to change? A little more information would be helpful.
