I use the KJ Pro Database to help find tracks that are requested by singers. I have also suggested to the hard core folks to check the KJ Pro database themselves.

I generally tell singers - "If the song you want doesn't appear on KJ Pro, then it doesn't exist a a legal karaoke song".

How accurate does everyone feel that statement is?

If it doesn't have all of Zoom, Sunfly, and SBI, not very. Does it have SBI? It would be hard to keep up with them....

None of the songlist manufacturers have downloadable content listed in their database so it isn't accurate. I personally believe despite word to the otherwise that manufacturer's downloads from the manu's sites are legal or at least not in any danger of lawsuits. I shy away from sites that don't make their own karaoke content as I question their legality. But the only way to search their songs is to go to the manufacturer's website rather than rely on an incomplete database like KJPro.

It's inaccurate to a the point that MANY of the discs/manus no longer exist as well. Those databases give you the idea of what HAS been available at one time, not all are available anymore. And like stated, it doesn't give complete listings of overseas manus like SBI, Karaoke-Version, etc.
