I have 2 apologies to make.

1> I am so very sorry this is getting a late start. I was busy, but to be completely honest, when I was on...I actually forgot to do it!

2> Luly, I somehow missed your suggestion of a duet week. I am very sorry. It was promptly added to this weeks vote! :D

Please, keep the ideas rolling~

Have a good week, everyone!!

Hmmm.... Why is hip hop and rap two seperate entries? I'm wanting to see some of the mostly country singers hit the rap/hip-hop just once... Bwaaahahahahahaha.... <---evil laugh

but with it broken into two groups it's not likely to happen. :bawling:

Oh well....

I still owe a couple subs for the last couple weeks... almost over this stupid cold/hay fever/ sinusitus thing.... Once I get the 17' U-Hual unloaded (by myself) I'll start working on a sub or two.

There were so many duets last week, I think most of the good ones have been done! But I've still got a few up my sleeve, just waiting for my partners to get their parts done.

What about you and OP? That'll be a thrill to hear you both!

HIP-HOP/RAP

I think it would be rather fun to see how much fun we can have and how many people would come out of thier "Shells" to do these genres. being that the admin has them seperated but unequaled.

Now remember "Hiphop" is current, "Rap" could be oldschool, and current now being called "New School"

Rap covers anything from "Rapture" by Blondie to Salt & Peppa and many other artists.

Personally... I believe it would be fun for alot of us to do. And I won't score anyone attempts to do this genre unless they do it extremely well.
I know how diffacult it is to do.

Most of the old school stuff isn't that hard to do. It's just a matter of getting the tempo down.

I've done:
Ice Ice Baby(yes, I did it, but I rarely admit it)
Funky Cold Medina
Wild Thing
Rapper's Delight (both the 5:30 and 7:04 versions - prefer the 7:04 version on SC)
Regulators (my myself - should be a duet though)
Walk This Way (Run DMC/Aerosmith)

as well as a couple others.

Baby Got Back is a little too fast for me but if I practiced I could probably pull it off. A lot of the newer stuff (last 2-3 years) is much faster and is harder to do so anyone can understand you). There are few of the newer songs that are pretty easy to do though, Air Force Ones, Gin & Juice, etc aren't too bad.

You know, if rap actually got picked one week I'd even upgrade my subscription just so I could upload Rapper's Delight... and grade away... (When I do it I tell the crowd they have to breathe for me for the next 7 minutes).

I'd like to hear a couple of the female vocalists on the SS do Rapture.... that would be a challenge both in the Rap portion and the singing.
