How could you possibly buy a lot of 110 sc cdgs, and not get at least a few, that you already have?

Nice! I remember finding an e-bay seller a couple years back selling LOTS of SC discs for $4 new in shrink! I was able to fill out many gaps I didn't have, approx 175 discs I think I ended up getting through him alone.

If you get 10 bucks for one, selling it solo(which I've usually found to be the best way to get the most per disc), you lose a buck for the Ebay ad(sometimes), a buck for the commission, a cd mailing envelope, plus postage(no insurance, and add 75 cents for confirmation if wanted).....that's almost another $2.50 or $3.25 off the $10..... .....heck, what's that leave me?....oh about 30 cents for using paypal....... Other brands go for even less.... Hey, what's this posting have to do with camping anyway?....I was mis-lead....

Another good deal: I just got 23 discs for $9 bucks. Used, but in great condition. Even better, the case that they came in is worth around $20 bucks by itself. Life is good.

Very interesting thread this...... You're all jumping about and backslapping each other over picking up a few discs on the cheap, some incredibly cheap. What would you do if someone said to you "I've got loads of discs you can have for free as I'm out of the game now" ? Would you take them? Hands up all of you who said yes they would. Of course you would. It's a no brainer. But let someone say they've finally found a disc they've been looking for on the net and downloaded it for free. Oh the horror!!!! And this is different how?

If someone buys a disc and gives it to you; all is well with the world. If that same person buys the same disc and makes a copy for you and keeps the original for himself; the wolf will be at the door.
Burning you a copy and sharing it on the web for downloading is one and the same, according to the powers that be.

What's kind of funny to me is that if you were to break into Lonnie's place of business, or wherever he stores his original discs and stole all of his CDG's and went into business for yourself; Sound Choice wouldn't give a rat's a$$ how you came in to possession of those discs. If you were audited by Sound Choice, they would see that you were 1:1 and go on their merry way.
Meanwhile, they'd be all over Lonnie for running his shows without having any original discs to back up what was on his hard drive. Lonnie would be the victim in tis scenario not once, but twice.

Possesion is how many percent ownership?....I forget that saying....anyway, Lonnie has the place completely booby trapped......so you'd just look for a KJ without arms.... ...Hey, what's this about B.S. having the #1 album????

Quote: And this is different how? The licensing that comes with a physical media disc (in the fine print on the CD insert) is transferrable to the new owner, regardless of if you buy it or get it for free. If you download music for free, it is unlicensed, and therefore unlawful to use in a commercial show. It's like the difference between your mom giving you her car and you going out and stealing one off the street, the amount you paid isn't the issue, it's the legal implications. BIG difference.
