I was looking on Amazon, and found:

http://www.amazon.com/Nutech-Super-1234 ... 091&sr=8-2

Has anyone ever used them, and are they any good. That seems like it would be a nice easy way to get a bunch of songs, fast. What say you??

Just for clarification, I am not talking about buying black market CAVS disks. So don't bother yelling at me. :P

I have vol.1,2,and 3. As you said, alot of songs. They are not my first choice, BUT, I do have a larger library because of them. As with ANY manu, there are some really good versions, and some really bad versions. I've never had anyone say that they couldn't sing to the versions. The only thing that I find as a major negative, is that the "duet" songs are not singable, unless each person knows their part. There is NO indication, by color, or any other means, which person is supposed to be singing. Also, you have to"convert them" from SCDG to cdg. This can be done with Power Karaoke, or other programs. All I can do is speak for myself, and for ME, it was well worth the money, and time.

Speaking for myself, I have the NuTech set, and you definitely get what you pay for here. I'd rate them a 5/10 on the quality scale, but they do have some good tracks and unique tracks.

Run away....run away!

Trying to find a great song in a set of Nutechs is like looking for a lobster in the sewer.

I have them and they are not worth having in my opinion for two reasons:
Number one: they are very bad muliplexed renditions in my opinion and they were the number one reason I went with the GEM series.
Number two: they are Supercdg's so your regular cdg ripper is no use. you have to get RoxBox's convertor to convert the files into usable files.

Nu-Tech is pretty much garbage overall - even worse than SGB, and I think they are pretty bottom of the barrel.
That being said they do have a 'handful' of diamond in the rough tracks, other than that, I wouldn't bother.

Most of the SCDG discs you are going to find are going to created illegally. Especially anything Chartbuster, they authorized their essential packs for a very short time to be made in this format, but then got out of it, but the presser continued to create bootlegged copies after the fact - even with newer packs. So beware you may be getting bad stuff. That was one of the first piracy outlets.
