I'm a young entrepreneur who is looking into starting up my first business. I've traveled a lot in Asia (mostly China and the Philippines) and one thing Ive always loved over there (but miss when Im back home) is Karaoke. We have a few Karaoke bars in my home town buy they're all run by Chinese owners so it's always sooo complicated finding your song (they use Korean/Chinese systems) and of course the song selection is lacking. As well, they're doesnt seem to be any company offering machine rentals.

Because I'm in school I'm looking into setting up a machine rental service, which I think I could manage to run even at the same time as my studies. I've already learned a lot by reading these forums but I was wondering if anybody could help me out with the very first steps I need to do. Which I think is picking a machine (and possibly picking a song system?).

Id like to have the easiest system out there, that would basically allow me to drop a machine off at a clients place (I would do home parties, small office events, maybe weddings, nothing too big), give a quick 10min. course on the machine, then come back the next day to pick it up.

Anybody care to share what's worked best for them?

Just give them my business card and I will be happy to come run a professional karaoke show with thousands of songs in my library mixed in with several years experience :) Much better than a machine IMO
