Hey guys need your help. I am purchasing some pioneer karaoke discs. I love the cheesy videos. Was wanting to know if anyone has had any experience in media shifting these discs to their computer and playing them on Compuhost. I would prefer to avoid using a pioneer player. Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks!
Yep, Compuhost V2 will play them back fine (V1 will work with a little fiddlin'.) Use a player with S-Video out, capture in a high quality format (I use DV) edit into individual songs and save with standard karaoke names, something like "PD051B-01 - Houston, Whitney - Exhale.MP4", Install the K-Lite Codec Pack and batch compress. Compuhost recomends the "WMV" format, but I use MP4s with no problems. Smaller and higher quality.
