Which all seems very strange since you can download the exact same tracks for free from any number of torrent sites. What dumbass is paying $400 for the disc?

For audit purposes; proof of ownership.
If that is the reason, then maybe the "dumbass" should buy the 2 Zoom discs instead (and delete the pirated copy of the SC tracks from his/her library).

I am certainly not suggesting downloading a torrent for use in a show. My point was that the content is readily available, the tracks themselves are everywhere which devalues the disc, I think. I guess if you are a karaoke disc collector it has some value, but not to pay that kind of money to use on a regular basis. I've not heard of people collecting the old karaoke cassettes, which I think would be more valuable. Carry on.

There was also the "read between the lines" disc which I thought was hilarious
This is the only one I know of. Instrumental only disc of Eagles, Stones, Springsteen and a few others they couldn't do at the time.

Was this a Not For Resale disc? Or did it land somewhere in the 8000 series?

I went through a bit of a collector phase, but quickly realized it was not something I cared to do from a financial perspective. I will occasionally buy certain discs to plug holes even though most if not all of the tracks can be found on other SC discs I already own. I may try to complete it over time, but I am in no rush.
