Does anyone know of a program that can take my MP3's and creat a song book! I have so many MP3's and it would take me years to write them all down.

Please let me know!

ddausend,

Here's one you might like.

Fast Track V2 PLUS Songbook Creator is Excellent for MP3'S.
It has an MP3+G Songbook Builder. Awesome!

It extracts MP3'S under the following formats:
DiscId - Track - Artist - Title (zip./cdg)
DiscId - Track - Title - Artist (zip./cdg)
Artist - Title (zip./cdg)
Title - Artist (zip./cdg)

Choose Between:
Compressed (Zip)
Uncompressed (MP3/CDG)

You can include Sub Folders!
It'll extract and count 100,000 Tracks in less than a minute!
I tested its accuracy with KJ File Manager and it was perfect!

For Discs - Remove Duplicates by Manufacture.
5 choices of Preferred Manufactures over others.

Songbook - Color, Header, Footer, Choose Font and Layout
Customize Song Request Slips

The PLUS version with the MP3+G songbook builder is $99.95
A Lifetime of Monthly Song base Updates for $49.95

Imagine $150.00 and a Lifetime of Updates Included.
I cancelled my KJ PRO Subscription Quickly.
FastTracks update database just as accurate!

Hope this helps,
sw00000p

without a doubt the best song book program on the planet for MP3s and many other digital formats.

Looks like an ok book maker, wish it worked on my dj files (.ots files).
Won't load on my computer anyway, something about netframe conflicts.

I use FastTrack and I like it a lot. It does a pretty good job of producing songbook but it also produces web pages of songs you have in database. It's pretty good. I do have a few picky things about it though. Like inability to combine databases automatically. You have to export then import it in. It also doesn't have song duplication detection that I can see. Lastly, It won't let me set some kind of template for the web page production. I have to go change things manually in HTML after it's produced. Other than that, it's a pretty good program.

If you're using a computer for the songs, why not use a computer as your songbook kiosk?  I've been using kiosks for over 3 years.

Haven't spent a dime on a book, slip, binder or pencil.

I also use FastTrack V2, along with the Compuhost and one you put the song into compuhost, it can be put into the song book with just a few clicks of the mouse. I use to have Music Book Delux, and the combo beats it by far! Also the support is great and if you have any ideas to make it better, just tell them and if it's a good idea, they will upgrade it.

Fast Tracks also has a viewer that you can load onto a computer for your singers to use. Best of all it's free.   Granted I use RoxBox's song terminal myself, but that's because I bought RoxBox for my system and you need RoxBox to create the database for the terminal. Then again you need Fast Tracks for their viewer's database as well.

There are quite a few programs available that allow you to blind scan your hard drive or manually key in disk numbers.

I find Latshaws Songlist creator is best. It blind scans hard drive then lets you customize the look and feel of your book and also exports to PDF or HTML.

The company name is Karaosoft now and the name of the app is Song List Generator. Karaoke Song List Creator is a different company. Also KNF, this thread is 9 years old. I'm guessing they've already made their choice by now :)

in my opinion, the major flaw of Fast Track is that the editing features are practically non existant. If you make a major mistake, you pretty much have to start from scratch because there is no way to edit multiple entries or delete multiple tracks
