Just renewed my Sirius XM subscription for both my car and my wife's and on each invoice was this:
U.S. Music Royalty Fee $4.16

This was for a 6-month subscription. No wonder artists feel like they are getting the short shrift. How could anybody make money with that kind of contribution. I know it's multiplied by millions of people for the totals but I was just surprised how they plainly document the amount on my invoices.

and yet another reason I listen to the "FREE" radio or play a cd when i can't get any reception.

Oh, the humanity..

Yes, the combo DVD/GPS/CD/AM/FM/SAT unit need to be fed every year.
Toyota offers a DVD with all GPS map updates with music fees included.
Included are fees for the "SOS" cell connection attached to the system.

PITA, but I pay it.. :argue:
