I have decided to add the word ‘Classic’ to my logo to differentiate my show from my son’s more liberal one. Please give me your opinion on the spelling, my two choices are;
1. Blue Rose Klassic Karaoke
2. Blue Rose Classic Karaoke
See new logos below with both spellings.

I'd use the correct spelling for your target group.
The logo looks very nice.

beautiful logo
my suggestion:
Try "Karaoke Classics", and fit that on ONE line below the "Blue Rose"! As a result of being on one line, those two words will appear to be less bold than "Blue Rose", which is the way I envision that it would look best.
Could you try that and let us all see how it looks?

Well, so far Donny and I like it. Let's see what the rest of the folks think!
I suggest that you add just a bit more space before the line "Karaoke Classics"
With these two changes the eye is allowed to linger just a bit longer on the flower, which is such an integral part of the design
PS: you probably want to also consider eliminating the "BLUE DOT" beneath the "O", for me it's an unnecessary distraction from the next line. I looked for a letter "i" on that line and never found it. anyone agree?

I might center the Blue Rose part but I like it better.. On second look it is centered maybe cut off the sprig on the right or curl it and center.

Yep, I agree with Ollie. Try moving "Rose" a little to the right so that the bold vertical line of the "R" starts between the "B" and the "l" in "blue".
It may not work because of all of the elements involved with that line, but it's worth trying

Might be a big nitpicky but it looks as though the lettering on the word 'classic' is not spread the same as in the word karaoke...and it looks almost like it is a little higher (other than the C cap). I'd push the word "classic" a little closer and change the spacing on the remaining letters (l-a-s-s-i-c). Seems like the rose could be droped down a little from the top (twisted just a tad to the right) so the letter 'e' is a little more identifiable as the final letter in the word rose.
On looking again, instead of spreading the letters in classic, I might reduce the spacing between the letters in karaoke (bunch them up more) - whichever, I'd make the space between the letters the same.
Nice idea!

Karen's observation is right-on about the (kerning) spacing between the letters in "Karaoke" and "Classic"
I would, however, recommend leaving "Classic" alone and tightening "Karaoke"

Man that's a beautiful logo ! Love the rose.
Just a thought - how about adding some depth to your lettering with shadowing. :D

Okay, I tried to incorporate everybody’s suggestions, except moving the ‘R’ just too much to deal with using the paint program, instead I nudged the ‘Blue’ back just a bit. When I replaced my computer a while back I lost my Photoshop program. When I get it the way I want, I will turn it over to Johnny, he is a genius with computer graphics. I am not crazy about the green in the rose, I’m sure he can make that better. I agree, a little more shadowing in there would really make it stand out, but again, that will have to be done by my son, I don’t know if you could even do it with MS Paint.
I am leaning towards sticking with “Classic Karaoke” because to me that says, Karaoke like it used to be without the scream rock and vulgar lyrics. Where the other way around, says to me that this is the place to go if you want to sing really old songs. JMHO

Wow.. great work and all great suggestions..
yep as I was reading down the page and saw the first "Karaoke Classic" that is indeed what came to my mind... that I'd be singing all really old songs from tens of years ago if I went to that venue.
I think the other way around sends a way different message that is a bit more attractive to different generations.

Great work
The way it looks now, it may not be necessary to move the "R", but you may want to try it both ways.
I still suggest moving the line down a bit containing "Classic"
PS I think different people will interpret your last line different ways, regardless of what you end up with

BlueRose,
IMO, that looks outstanding. I see we are both on the same page with what "kind" of patrons/singers we try to attract to our venues. I call my businees
"OLDE TYME"
KARAOKE ENTERTAINMENT
I would post a copy of my card, but, as most here already know, (cause I tell them) I'm not that great with computers. Anyway, I also have a "antiquated" microphone on the card with some background "stuff". There's a web-site called "VistaPrint", http://www.VistaPrint.com, that has some really great deals. Got 500 cards for $20, including shipping. Check them out. Again, great job on the design.

Let's see what the consensus of opinions are that this thought generates:
Instead of going "back" to "Classic Karaoke", considering what you expressly stated about your concept HOW ABOUT this?
CLASSY KARAOKE
and it sort of rhymes

yep yep yep.. I think Classy Karaoke gives off just what she said she's trying to convey.. it's karaoke, minus the screaming grunge rough stuff
that's another good idea Eric.

Oooh I like Classy Karaoke too. You have to go with what you like ultimately.
I'm starting my fiancee with his own show. He has come up with some aweful names.
I can just tell him my opinion, but he has to be comfortable with what he chooses. That is the most important thing. I just cringed when he said King of karaoke though. LMAO It makes me think of Elvis and he is nothing like Elvis.
